Solutions included:    

Automated a manual system of calculating and reporting video duplication cost discounts.  Rolling target dates and interactive results displayed in pop-up windows or on reports. Significantly changed the way BVHV did business.

Utilized Silverrun Diagramming software to design a Trust Accounting system. Developed and implemented the system using Synon. Included prototyping, a new database, interactive maintenance and batch processing, data flow diagrams and entity relationship diagrams.

Upgraded J.D.Edwards software through five levels

Designed, developed and implemented:  PO Entry system maintenance, Video Returns system, Inventory Based on Sales, Suggested Order Quantity, Payroll reporting, Budget maintenance with forecasting capabilities, Executive credit card expense tracking, a custom Cash Receipts Entry system and a Stock Transfer system that interfaced with J.D. Edwards

 

Price Company, San Diego, CA (1986 to 1990) (Now CostCo, Seattle)

Designed, constructed, and implemented a custom Vendor Insurance Tracking system using Synon 2E.  The project included prototypes of screens and reports, a new database, and several interactive and batch processes.

Provided extensive administrative and executive system reports, maintained the Sales Upload system which uploaded polled information from all remote warehouse locations, assisted in the redesign and implementation of the warehouse food service system, provided all Executive Sales Analysis and reporting, integrated an existing H/R system into a purchased Software 2000 package, designed a disaster recovery system to be implemented at a remote site. 

Coleman College, La Mesa, CA (1987 to 1993), Instructor

Designed and developed an intermediate RPGIII and RPG400 curriculum introducing the SDA tool and RPG programming, which included multiple screens, inquiry and maintenance programming, and subfiles.

Designed and developed a CL programming curriculum which included pop-up windows, menus, error handling, display files within CL, creating and executing commands, parameter passing.

Western Lumber, San Diego, CA (1984 to 1986)

Maintained a J.D.Edwards financials package that included AR, AP, G/L.  Converted a J.D.Edwards Sales and Purchasing package to fit with the lumber industrys special needs that included up to five multilevel contract price groups.

Member of an application development team that created a custom Automated Purchase Order/Invoice Matching system.
